Fall Fellowship 2005
September 23-24, 2005
Camp Wisdom

Every year since 1971, the Mikanakawa Lodge has held a Fall Fellowship, sometimes referred to as the BBB (Brotherhood and Barbeque on the Brazos).  During this event the lodge has several fun events for it's members to participate in, including volleyball, flag football, and various chapter competative games.  The end of each BBB is marked with the Lodge Officer Elections and the exciting Vigil Call-out ceremony, where the lodge recognizes the outstanding members who were selected to keep their Vigil.
For the first time since 2002, a scouter from North Trail District was called to keep his Vigil.  Charles Holmes of Troop 70 was among the arrowmen selected by the lodge.  Mr. Holmes was called out in 1968 and took his Brotherhood in 1993.  He recently completed an 11 year tenure as Scoutmaster of Troop 70 in Highland Park.  He has served 3 times as the Circle Ten Council Jamboree Chairman and he has been on 10 Wood Badge Staffs.  During the Fall Fellowship weekend, Mr. Holmes agreed to serve the Mikanakawa Lodge as the Associate Lodge Adviser to the Corresponding Secretary.  Congradulations Charles!
