Mikanakawa Lodge Annual Dinner
1-7-2006

The Yanush Chapter walked away from The Mikanakawa Lodge's Annual Dinner this weekend with some prestigeous awards.  For the first time since 2000, we recieved Honor Chapter.  Our 2006 Chapter Chief, Trevor Hodges(below left), represented the chapter as the award was given out to Yanush and eight other chapters.  This was the highest number of Honor Chapter recipients the lodge has ever had.  However, our chapter's success did not stop at Honor Chapter.  Instead, the lodge bestowed upon Yanush the coveted Chapter of the Year award, to which there was much rejoicing by the many Yanush members present at the dinner.  This is an award that has not been in our chapter since 1994.  Again, our new chief accepted the trophey, which was presented by Ben Frank, 2005 Mikanakawa Lodge Chief(below middle).  In addition to these Chapter Awards, one of our very own members, Todd Washburn(below right) was awarded the James E. West Fellowship Award for his longtime service and dedication to the lodge.

At lot of thanks must go out to everyone in the Yanush Chapter that helped make this a big year for us.  It's the hard work and dedication of our members that makes Scouting and the Order of the Arrow great.  Now that we have be recognized by the lodge as more than just an Honor Chapter, it is time to show everyone in the lodge that we can live up to, and excede the same expections in 2006.
